Vistra Ireland appoints three new senior hires to its Aviation arm (Canyon CTS) to bolster their growing Capital Markets Aviation business

Ireland, 23 June 2022: Vistra, one of the world’s leading providers of expert advisory and administrative support to Fund, Corporate, Capital Markets, and Private Wealth clients announced today the appointment of three new senior hires to lead their Capital Markets Aviation business, Canyon CTS.

Vistra Ireland, through its Aviation arm Canyon CTS (“Canyon”), is a capital markets and corporate business service provider for structured finance deals and corporate restructuring support in relation to the aircraft leasing industry, including Asset-Backed Securitisation (“ABS”).

Cliona O’Faolain joined Vistra Ireland on 30 May 2022 as Head of Aviation. She has spent the past 14 years at Wilmington Trust in Ireland, since 2017 as Head of Ireland, Managing Director, specialising on the aviation side of the business. Prior to WT, Cliona held numerous leadership roles at Deutsche Bank. Cliona holds a Bachelor’s in Economics from University College Dublin and Diploma in Aviation Leasing and Finance from Law Society of Ireland.

Paul Griffin joined Vistra Ireland on 13 June 2022 as Director, Aviation. Paul was previously a Senior Vice President at Maples Group where he managed their aviation backed securitisation portfolio along with other aircraft leasing platforms. Paul holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management, Specialising in Accountancy from Dublin Institute of Technology, is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and has a Diploma in Aviation and Leasing from Law Society of Ireland.

Aoife Conneely joined Vistra Ireland on 13 June 2022 as Director, Aviation. Previously, Aoife held roles within the Global Aviation team in Investec Bank Plc including Financial Controller of aircraft leasing platforms and funds, Aviation Operation Specialist and holding AOE/SPV Board Directorships. Most recently Aoife was in the Finance function of Airborne Capital Limited. She has nearly a decade’s worth of experience in the aviation space. Aoife holds a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Ireland and a Bachelor of Business Studies in Accounting from the University of Limerick.
